Barbara Lee Balaban Interiors, Inc. is a full-service interior design firm whose scope of projects range from redesigning existing spaces to complete remodels and new home construction.  With over 50 years of experience, we are dedicated to creating environments that are both beautiful and functional.  Founder and licensed contractor, Barbara Balaban, has based her business on a simple design philosophy; a person’s living space should be accommodating to their lifestyle and needs.  Using that philosophy, we expose clients to several styles and guide them through the process of discovering the ones that reflect their sensibilities.

DESIGN SERVICES

Consultation – Depending on the project, the design consultation can include the client, the architect and the contractor. The purpose of the consultation is to define the scope of the project. Are we replacing a bedspread? Are we planning to update a bathroom? Are we remodeling the entire house?

Planning – Once the consultation has occurred, we will devise a design plan to give the overall framework of the project.  The client will be presented with floor plans, electrical plans, materials (tile, wallpaper, fabric, fixtures, furniture, lighting, etc.). Additionally, when appropriate and possible, the client will visit showrooms to see items in person. The plan will also include pricing estimates.

Implementation – Once the client has agreed on the work to be done, we can proceed with putting the plan in place. This is when all of the installations and work happen.  We will be there to oversee the entire process from demolition to fabrication to construction.
